Your Personalized Yoga Teacher

Hello Everyone,

My motto is simple: GOD first.

While my teaching career began in 2020, I have been practicing yoga for over 14 years. I came to yoga as someone who was looking for from chronic neck pain and a disconnection to my body and my purpose. I remember what it was like being unable to lift dishes into a cabinet without pain, & I vowed from that moment on, I would learn whatever I needed to learn to empower myself to life a life without pain. And so my yoga journey began.

I began diving deep into the body and its metaphysical connections, as well as trying various forms of healing modalities such as Accupressure, acupuncture, chiropractic care, Tai Chi, energy therapy, and massage.

In 2020, I decided to take it a step further and become a Registered Yoga Teacher with the intention to empower others as well. I currently hold a RYT-200 certification with Yoga Alliance and I specialize in both private and group teaching. I received my training from Yoga and Ayurveda Center and can currently teach multiple styles of yoga. While I specialize in a hatha style class, I can also teach yin yoga, chair yoga, and restorative yoga.

Some of my group teaching experience includes teaching at Old Dominion University, Unity Church of Tidewater, and even State Farm Insurance! One of my greatest accomplishments was creating personalized yoga videos for students at Old Dominion University to assist them in reclaiming their love for their bodies by building confidence in a safe space. Hence, Grow and Glow Yoga was later created!

What makes me different from other yoga teachers?

Well, I care about your journey in a holistic way. It is common for me to use affirmations in a class to work specifically with targeted muscles groups and their metaphysical connections to the body. Did you know low back pain manifests when you feel unsupported financially?

When you work privately with me, you will receive a well- rounded yoga experience to truly take care of all parts of the human experience- mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. I will listen to your needs and goals, and provide you with the knowledge you may be missing for addressing your pain through your yogic practice.

I look forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact me at (757) 818.4691 for any questions or concerns.
